Muslimat Olanike Aliyu

Muslimat Olanike Aliyu is a retired public servant with over twenty-seven years of meritorious service in the banking industry. She was an employee of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 1990 to 2017 and over the course of her illustrious career, she held various positions across different departments in the Bank. In the Branch Operations Department from 2010 to 2017, she played a key role in coordinating CBN branches nationwide and developing service standards. Earlier, in the Banking Supervision Department, she conducted examinations of commercial banks, on-site appraisal of management appointments to the boards of commercial banks and appraised the opening and closing of bank branches.

Her legal expertise was honed during her time as a State Counsel at the Federal Capital Development Authority from 1987 to 1990 and as a Junior Partner at Orifunmishe & Co Chambers from 1985 to 1987.

Muslimat Olanike Aliyu holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Maiduguri and has received recognition for her long service from the Central Bank of Nigeria. She is the founder of Abadal Orphanage Home, Suleja and oversees all aspects of its operation, including staff management, financial oversight, and policy setting.

Federal Ministry of Finance:The Federal Ministry of Finance (FMF) advises the Federal Government on its fiscal operations and collaborates with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on monetary matters. Before 1991, the responsibility for the supervision and licensing of banks was shared between FMF and CBN until 1991 when CBN became the sole authority.
